First, I’d like to thank my dietitian for her guidance throughout the whole program.I have never thought of going thru a weight losing program even though I have been fat since I was a kid.
I wasn’t seriously overweight, I just look round in shape.My job needs a lot of traveling around Asia Pacific which definitely not good for me as I love eating, specially trying different type of food.
However, more than a year ago, my body started having a signal which I need to deal with it. My blood pressure started to go crazy. My family doctor suggested that I will have either start taking medication or I can try to lose some weight. My Chinese doctor has tried a few methods but the blood pressure just can’t go back to normal consistently. So, the only solution now is to lose some weight if I don’t want to start with the medicine.
My colleague in the office has started this program few months before I started and I saw the result. Therefore, I made up my mind to start after Chinese New Year. It wasn’t that tough as expected. I won’t feel too hungry for most of the days; the only issue for me is when I am travelling. However, 〈MSL〉 has taught me how to eat in a healthy way, what food has to be avoided and to exercise properly.
Now, I have been on this program for 3 months and towards the end. I am pretty happy about the result and I will try my best to keep that up.Thank you everyone in the centre!! I strongly recommend this program to all my friends who start to “GROW BIG”….

My real life experience with 〈MSL〉: consuming a balanced diet with regular exercise, I was able to successfully lose 20 Kg in 5 months. Not only did the plan allow me more clothes choices, my blood pressure and pulse have also dropped to normal levels.
Before joining the plan, I thought my diet was rather healthy as I never ate animal skin and didn’t add sugar to milk tea. However, my dietitian told me that this was not enough. I therefore determined to say good-bye to all sweets, desserts, and deep fried foods. Others may think I give up a lot of tasty foods but I Iearnt to have more appreciation for healthy foods such as green salad, tofu and congee now.
Most people complain airplane foods are crap, but I found special meals with non-fat and low-calorie items taste much better since they always provide me with very tasty bread and steam meat.
Although I travel a lot, I try to stick with my diet plan. If possible, I would order sandwich from the hotel. After explaining to others that this plan helped me lose 20 Kg, peoples start to understand and respect my diet. Some even followed my lead and stared eating more greens and less meat now.
Nowadays, my traveling kit includes not just an iPad and wifi router but also a pair of running shoes and enough biscuits to allow me to exercise when I travel.My glory goes partly to 〈MSL〉 and my dietitian. I give special thanks to my wife who takes care of my diet and prepares very tasty salads for my lunch.
Being a middle aged woman, I have been working and taking care of my children in the past few years. I was not paying much attention to my lifestyle. Little did I know, when I chose to conveniently ignore my eating habit during busy times, I would be gaining weight, yet gaining it fast. Having fat built all over my body made my body shape looked bad. I was unable to wear fashionable items beautifully, and to be honest, it made me feel bad about myself at times. I then realized being fat does not only make one physically unattractive, but also suffer from stress. I decided that I no longer want this kind of life and was determined to lose weight.
I joined the【MSL Weight Reduction Plan】in January 2012 via a friend’s recommendation. In my first month, I started my keep fit plan by cutting sugar, salt and oil in my meal. After two weeks that the results are already showing. Such improvement became more obvious as time went on and I could not wait to see the final results. Later on, I further changed my eating habit and lifestyle, followed advices given by nutritionists from 〈MSL〉. In the third month, the effects were apparent to the eye. I used to wear size 12 from M&S, but now, I am proud to tell that I am able to wear size 6!
After all these time in 〈MSL〉, I have understood that the loss of weight depends much on one’s eating habit and style of living. Before coming to 〈MSL〉, I had tried to lose weight for many times, yet none of then succeeded. I used to think that consuming low carbohydrate diets was an effective way of cutting fat, but I was wrong. Eating less or skipping meals can only reduce weight in short term; moreover, it is always unhealthy to ignore our body signs.
The combination of changing my eating habits and engaging in physical were the ways taught by 〈MSL〉 and I have successfully cut fat for the first time in my life. I have chosen not to skip meals because it doesn’t work for my body. 〈MSL〉 teaches me to develop healthy eating habits in order to lose weight and this is certainly ideal for healthy long term weight control. My experience in 〈MSL〉 has been rewarding. I would like thank my nutritionist, for her support and professional advices in all these time. And now, every time I look into the mirror, I just felt that the money I paid really worth the effort and time.
I joined the “MSL Weight Reduction Plan” because I want to have changes in life. Sometimes, changes cannot be achieved solely by oneself. The fitness centre has provided all-round services ranging from regular nutritionist consultation, packed meals in different cuisines, monitoring of heart beat rate and blood pressure, appointment with personal trainer. These services are very useful in helping me stick to the plan.
I especially appreciate my nutritionist, for her continuous encouragement throughout the program. I have no idea in what should be my right diet or right portion of food for my life before my joining of the program. My nutritionist has given me useful and invaluable guidance which I believe will be very useful even after the program ends.
My awareness and interest in nutrition have been aroused in the program. I have got strong interest in nutrition information and now I am quite obsessed in reading the nutrition information on the packages whenever I am buying groceries.
It is our responsibility to take good care of our health for ourselves and family. Joining the program is a start. Putting our health in priority (as important as your work or your family) requires our continuous effort. There are many successful businessmen or businesswomen who are lean and fit. Work, stress, tight schedule or commitments should not be excuses in neglecting your health. Eating without proper control should not be allowed as a way to relief our stress or pressure.
I’ve tried to lose weight many times on my own before joining〈MSL〉, but I would always end up bouncing back to where I started from. Every since I started working full time, exercising and diet had been difficult to manage especially working OT and having to eat out.
Gradually, the stress at work and the lack of exercise led me to seek comfort in sugary food and gaining significant amount of weight. In past I’ve tried cutting carbs, eat only one meal a day or solely increasing the level of exercise – but none of these methods were sustainable or healthy. As a result, I would get sick all the time. Being overweight also affected my self-esteem (although I stress that body image isn’t everything) and mood.
At the beginning of this year, I decided that it was time to seek professional help on how to manage weight loss. I wanted my weight and diet to be monitored by a specialist in nutrition and so I joined 〈MSL〉.I have to admit that the adjustment period in the beginning wasn’t easy.Learning to eat in set portions and drawing from other food groups (rather than just carbs) was a challenge. Drinking 2L of water a day was a challenge. But it wasn’t long before I reaped the benefits of a disciplined and well-planned diet. Not only did I manage to lose approx.30 Ibs and 10% fat but my symptoms of water retention has greatly reduced as a result of a lower sodium diet. I’ve also started to enjoy cooking and home prepped meals to bring to work.
I believe my weight loss experience has already impacted others around me,who have realized how healthy diet and regular exercise routine can bringabout such effective weight loss in such short amount of time. I’d like to thank〈MSL〉 for your cheerful and welcoming staff. More importantly, my registered dietitian for her guidance, cheerfulness and foodie inspirations. Finally, weight loss should be dealt with such encouragement and professionalism.
Wow, this is definitely a good investment I have made for myself. I should have started this years ago! Before joining MSL, I tried many different ways to lose weight – taking weight loss medications, doing gym and cutting down on rice at night but nothing worked for me instead I gained more pound each year. I am so glad I have found MSL and met my Nutritionist. I am so thankful to have her help and support. She taught and educated me how to eat right and making the right healthy choices when dinning out. I really enjoyed my consultation with my Nutritionist each week. It took me under 6 months to lose 37 pounds and over achieve my goal. During this journey, I also built up my exercising and eating habit which helps me to stay fit be a healthier person. I have inspirited my family and colleagues at work and they are now making better food choices when eating.
